17 years ago, I found work satisfying my growing interest in the world of digital art…
It was a small commercial print company, and my time spent there shaped the beginnings of a good solid ground in print and production artwork; with the skills I gained in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator being an excellent start to my career.
I then decided to make the move into FMCG packaging, where I was fortunate enough to secure a position within the origination department for Mars Confectionery. There I worked closely with Brand Managers throughout Europe, on global brands such as Mars, Twix, and Snickers.
However, working with design agencies helped me decide that I wanted the experience and buzz the creative industry offered. So I made the move to my first design agency, Tynan D’Arcy, in January 2000, where I was given the opportunity to head up their artwork studio.
Wanting to move to a larger organization, with a broader client-base, I left Tynan D’Arcy and joined one of London's biggest design agency The Brand Union in 2002 as Senior Artworker, with the additional responsibility of jumping in as Production Manager when required.
Hungry to then gain more experience in a management role, but not lose the hands-on experience I enjoyed, I joined London based design agency Blue Marlin as Production Manager in 2005. There I benefited from the best of both worlds: hands on with the production of artwork and visualising, whilst also managing projects throughout the process with my team of Artworkers.
In July 2009 I decided that I wanted to experience living and working in a different country and, via 7 months of travelling in SE Asia, have now settled in Vietnam.
So nowadays I work freelance from my studio in Hanoi, still offering the same high quality of work. As well as running my design and branging company Crunchy Frog.
Please have a wander around my website. There are examples of brands I've worked on over the years, as well as a few personal projects which have been mainly for enjoyment, but have also helped develop my breadth of skills.
If there's anything I can help you with, then please do contact me to discuss your requirements.
